| Welcome to
our 'China 2006' online photographic exhibition.
After my 1 st trip to China in 2005 I was determined to return and to see more of this fascinating country.
But for my 2 nd trip I wanted to see more of rural China and go to less visited places.
So my trip took me to Sichuan Province - the Land of Plenty as it is known in Chinese.
I headed up into the mountains to see one of China’s most famous places: Jiu Zhai Guo ,
a UNESCO world heritage site. Sichuan’s proximity to Tibet also allowed to sample some
Tibetan culture. This online exhibition is divided into 3 galleries. Sichuan Travellouge: The images shown here fall into the category of travel photography and will show you some general images of Sichuan. Jiu Zhai Guo Vistas: Jiu Zhai Guo is remote highland value of spectacular beauty. Waterfalls, colorful lakes and simply spectacular landscape allowed for some nice landscape photography there. Unfortunately the weather during my short stay there was rather overcastted and less than optimal. Nevertheless you shall be able to get an idea about this stunning corner of the world. Visions of China: In this part of the exhibition you will find my very personal and artistic interpretation of how I saw China. Most of the images here were taken in temples and rather remote areas in Sichuan. Visiting all those magnificent sites I was truly inspired by the beauty of Chinese architecture, Chinese culture and tradition. Besides that I also got fascinated by the people living in this part of China and captured a few portrays there. I hope you will enjoy this exhibition and I would like to hear from you what you think about the photographs. enter here > |
